Syracuse Orange Basketball had three players in its 2024-25 freshman class: Donnie Freeman, Elijah "Choppa" Moore and Petar Majstorovic. Adrian Autry's highest ranked recruit, Donnie Freeman, did perform well relative to expectations as being the highest ranked Syracuse recruit since Carmelo Anthony. Choppa Moore flashed against Cornell, Tennessee and Maryland, but he was mostly disappointing. Majstorovic played with a lot of heart, but still needs to work on his offensive game.
