Well my point is that Mauricio hasn't even shown up in a MILB game so he probably has a ways to go.

I.e., Taylor is playing well of late. But he is clearly a 4th OF'er and best utilized as a late inning defensive replacement.

Even though he is playing well of late, we still need a full-time CF with a bat. Will Acuna be asked to make the transition to the OF with limited minor league experience there?

DD,
Mauricio is in extended spring training (Florida) where he will begin with the Mets Rookie Team. Once Maurico shows that his bat speed has returned, I would expect him to move up the ranks and reach Flushing by the end of May, serving as the DH.

I'm not even thinking about Mauricio...I dont even think he has gotten into a MILB game yet. Will they send down Baty or the guy they just promoted when McNeil gets back?

I dont bother with talk radio anymore. I just listen to the mets pods. I like Evan Roberts on Rico Brogna and I know he is on WFAN but dont listen except the pod.

It's too early to criticize any MLB player. The two months of April and September are both outliers in baseball. Neither are good barometers measuring seasonal productivity. It is difficult to extrapolate from either.

I have one message to Sal Licata regarding his rants on Juan Soto. KEEP YOUR PANTIES ON, SAL!!!! Did you rant as much last year when Frankie Lindor or Aaron Judge had lousy Aprils (both worse than Soto's this year). Where did both Lindor and Judge wind up last year (MVP AL; runner-up MVP NL!).
