It's too early to criticize any MLB player. The two months of April and September are both outliers in baseball. Neither are good barometers measuring seasonal productivity. It is difficult to extrapolate from either.

I have one message to Sal Licata regarding his rants on Juan Soto. KEEP YOUR PANTIES ON, SAL!!!! Did you rant as much last year when Frankie Lindor or Aaron Judge had lousy Aprils (both worse than Soto's this year). Where did both Lindor and Judge wind up last year (MVP AL; runner-up MVP NL!).

Maybe Mendy waits until Squirrel is back playing 2B before they give Acuna time in CF. But outside of Torrens, something has to be done with the last 4 spots in the batting order!!!!

Given that Siri will probably go on the IL, who is the next player up to man CF, Luisangel Acuna? Or is anyone coming up from Syracuse to backup Taylor in CF?

I shouldn’t say this. But Siri is hurt after fouling a pitch off his knee. I certainly don’t want to see anyone get hurt. But in this case, Siri might be placed on the IL and I wouldn’t be upset at all! Mets need a CFer!

Baty looks 100% lost. Acuna I honestly sort of expected this because he struggled in AAA. But yeah...spring training means nothing..

I went to the game yesterday unfortunately...the last 3 times I went to a regular season game they were completely uncompetitive...maybe Im bad luck

Just goes to show you how irrelevant spring training is: Brett Baty and Aaron Judge are great examples. Both have performed completely different since the bell rang

Yeah that bats have been quiet outside of the Monday game. They went down quietly last night against no name relievers. Its one thing to not hit against Alcantra...its another to go down so meekly against their RP.
