No real update on Cristopher Sánchez, other than he is feeling better. He wanted to play catch today. Not sure if that’ll happen or not. No MRI exam scheduled yet. Rob Thomson wouldn’t rule out shuffling rotation and Sánchez pitching late next week. A long way from that though.

Prior to today’s game against the New York Mets, the Phillies returned INF/OF Weston Wilson from his rehab assignment with Lehigh Valley (AAA) and reinstated him from the 10-day IL. To make room for him on the 26-man roster, INF/OF Kody Clemens was designated for assignment.

Phillies face Mets lefty David Peterson in today’s series finale. Weston Wilson could be activated from the IL to play LF. Max Kepler is 4 for 20 with 1 double and 7 strikeouts vs. lefties. Kody Clemens out of options, but he has only seven plate appearances this year.
