UnforMETable, Episode 64: Esix Snead
Episode Description
Welcome to UnforMETable, an Amazin’ Avenue Audio show that looks back on less heralded, more obscure Mets players from the past.
Esix Snead has a name you can’t forget, with some of the best speed of his era to boot. Unfortunately, his speed was his primary skill, and his Mets, and MLB career, was not as memorable as his name.
Snead had two Major League call ups with the Mets, with one very memorable game in September of 2002 against the Montreal Expos. In that game, Snead didn’t just show off his speed, but gave fans a glimpse at what a more complete player Snead had the chance to become.
If you’ve got an idea for a player to be featured on UnforMETable, let us know in the comments.
Thanks to Christian for filling in, and make sure to follow Rob on Twitter (@WolffRR), and you can now follow the show, too (@unformetable). Tune in next week for another tale from the Mets’ past.
And, as always, let’s go Mets.
