No-one can stop him
My last tweets of the night about NFL and OT rule stuff: The "that's the rule" crowd always astounds me. The OT rule was changed less than a decade ago after fan outrage. The 2012 referee lockout, which lasted months, was resolved overnight after the GB-SEA "Fail Mary" outrage.Beat Writer / Columnist
It literally hasn't even been 10 years since the OT rules were changed following a game Tom Brady had nothing to do with. Saints/Vikings in January 2010 came down to a FG after NO won the flip. The rule was changed 4 months later for the next season. There's plenty of precedent.NFL was established in the 1920’s and Football in 1890’s. A century later, now y’all are deciding a coin toss is an issue? Bc Tom Brady is that good y’all are arguing over a coin flip? Lol https://t.co/3R9RoxbkjbBeat Writer / Columnist
Incredibly, the Steelers lost that game 24-6.According to Pro Football Reference, the last time a team ran 94+ plays in a game was 2002 when the Steelers played the Houston Texans. The only time a team has run 94+ plays in the postseason was the Browns in 1986 against the Jets. https://t.co/OGKs7i7wm1Beat Writer / Columnist
By the way, my complaints about the OT system aside, Tom Brady was absolutely incredible on the final drive of regulation and in OT. I'm frustrated Mahomes didn't get his chance to match, but Brady was fantastic under pressure, as always. Kudos to him.Beat Writer / Columnist
