Celebrating the Legacy of "The Franchise" Tom Seaver
Episode Description
Wednesday September 2nd, 2020 will forever be known as one of the saddest days in the history of the New York Mets, as the greatest player to ever wear the uniform passed away. Tom Seaver was nicknamed "The Franchise" because he quite literally put the Mets on the map. The rabid fan base we see today would not be here if not for Seaver.
Today we look back at the legacy of No. 41, and also the eerie fact that the current Mets beat the Orioles on the day he passed away, nearly 51 years removed from when Seaver brought the Mets their first championship against the Orioles in 1969.
