Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space. 

This week, we begin by discussing the first three series of the young season, in which the team’s pitching staff looks extremely good, despite Sean Manaea’s unfortunate setback. We also congratulate the Lindors on their new arrival and the Alonsos on their impending new arrival.

Next, we talk about what the NL East looks like right now. Though we will never declare the Braves dead prematurely, we are certainly enjoying their slow start.

We also weigh in on the torpedo bat discourse and discuss MLB scrubbing DEI references from its website.

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
