Hertl injured in VGK's 4-2 win over the Lighting
34 min
Episode Description
VGK swept the three game homestand this weekend, but Sunday's 4-2 victory over Tampa Bay might have been a costly one for the Golden Knights. In the third period, Tomas Hertl was sent flying into boards on a breakaway by the Lightning's Emil Lilleberg. Hertl tried to brace himself as best as he could, but might have suffered a right wrist injury in the process. Hertl came out of the game in discomfort and Lillieberg was only assessed a two-minute minor and not a major penalty. If VGK loses Hertl for any period of time, the Golden Knights would lose not only its hottest player, but the leading scorer with 14 goals on the power play. Hertl had scored two hat tricks in four VGK games. The Golden Knights scored three consecutive home hat tricks. We recap VGKs 6-3 romp past Detroit this weekend. And, we discuss whether we feel the Golden Knights are a current Stanley Cup contender.
