The Minnesota Wild lost Game 3 of their Opening Round series to the Dallas Stars 4-3 in Double Overtime and fell behind 2-1 in the best of 7 series. The Wild held a 3-2 lead through 2 periods on goals from Marcus Johansson, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Michael McCarron, but Dallas was the far better team down the stretch and tied the game in the 3rd and won it n double overtime n Wyatt Johnston's 3rd goal of the series. The Wild will be back at Grand Casio Arena on Saturday trying to avoid a 3-1 deficit in the series. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 32 of 36 shots in net for the Wild.

POST CAST: Dallas Evens Series 1-1 With 4-2 Win in Game 2

The Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars are even at 1-1 after the Stars won Game 2 by a score of 4-2. The Stars scored the games 1st goal on a deflected puck that got by Jesper Wallstedt. Brock Faber tied the score at 1 with a goal later in the 1st. After the Stars scored 2 straight goals, Faber scored his 2nd goal of the night to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Stars scored an empty netter to seal the win. Yakov Trenin left the game after a big hit in the 1st, and Mats Zuccarello was scratched before the game began, and the Wild struggled to gain the offensive zone in the 2nd period after several good looks in the 1st. Game 3 is Wednesday at 8:30 at Grand Casino Arena.
