In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing a possible training camp battle this summer between Keeanu Benton and Yahya Black for the starting nose tackle job in the team's base defense. We discuss the play of both Benton and Black in 2025 and there could legitimately be a position battle between the two players this summer and especially if the former doesn't wind up signing a contract extension soon.

Alex and I also discuss what Benton's 2026 role with the team might ultimately be should he not be the starting nose tackle in the base defense to open the regular season. Additionally, we also discuss if the Steelers might be open to trading Benton just ahead of the regular season getting underway should Black ultimately beat him out of a starting role this summer.

On the heels of Alex completing a big book study on Steelers’ new offensive line coach James Campen, we discuss a few of his recent findings from his research and the kind of impact we expect him to make on his unit and several individual players.

With my annual 90 In 30: Steelers 2026 Training Camp Preview Series now underway as of Monday morning, Alex and I discuss the first set of three players that I wrote about, QB Drew Allar, OG Spencer Anderson, and DT Kyler Baugh. The Pittsburgh Steelers' several additions over this season like Michael Pittman Jr., Germie Bernard and Rico Dowdle have set up Aaron Rodgers with a chance to lead the offense to be an efficient unit. Christopher Carter explains how the differences in the Steelers' offensive roster can better suit Rodgers' skillset. But while one caller thinks this could make Rodgers elite, Chris clarifies and thinks while Rodgers is past his days of being elite, he can lead an offense to produce highly efficient numbers. Chris also explains that the offensive line's growth can help the Steelers a great deal when it comes to red zone production after they finished in the middle of the league in red zone touchdowns. But could their progress really mean that much of an increase in scoring this season? And finally, could the Steelers' coaching focus on developing Drew Allar be a sign that they see him more than just a backup quarterback?
