After falling awkwardly and landing on his face, San Antonio's Frenchman exited midway through the second quarter and was subsequently ruled out after entering concussion protocol, since being diagnosed with a concussion. Wembanyama finished with five points in only 12 minutes.

Stephon Castle scored a team-high 18 points while De'Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell each added 16.

Scoot Henderson scored a game-high 31 for Portland, who eyes a 2-1 advantage when the series resumes Friday in the Pacific Northwest.
