Major League Soccer and Sporting KC have taken a much need break, for the latter, that is.

It's time to lock in for the World Cup, Kansas City. Argentina have arrived, the US roster is set, and they took the field for a nice 3-2 win over Senegal this weekend.

Also, the KC Current have won five of their last six. But we aren't quite excited just yet.

The ugly results keep pouring in for Sporting KC. Most recently, a 6-0 dismantling in which SKC scored an own goal where three of their players were the last to touch the ball.

Truly, utterly, embarrassing.

So how long does Wicky have?

No, he isn't the entire problem. No, this roster won't be great with a different coach. But Raphael Wicky simply MUST show he is capable of stopping the bleeding, or move aside for someone who can.

At a certain point, the club needs to show fans that there is a minimum standard which is acceptable around here.

They wouldn't need to find the new answer for coach right away either... Don't forget about Dom Kinnear on the staff. He's got immense experience in this league and can easily slide right in as an interim manager.
