Former UCF Knights TE Grant Stevens talks about overcoming a serious injury & changes in the program

Former UCF Knights tight end Grant Stevens (2022-24) joined the Sons of UCF for a conversation about his time as a Knight. A highly coveted prospect out of Nease High School (Ponte Vedra, FL), Stevens eventually committed to the Knights in large part to his relationship with head coach Gus Malzahn and tight end coach Brian Blackmon.

In his three years in the program, Stevens went through a lot of change, including three different coordinators, multiple quarterbacks, and a verbiage-heavy offensive playbook.

However, just as Stevens felt he was making strides and putting himself in a position to play, a freak accident derailed his season and ultimately put his future health in jeopardy. Through it all, Stevens leaned on his coaches and teammates as he tried to work himself back to the form he once knew.
