The Vegas Golden Knights fell to the Utah Mammoth, 3-2, in Game 2 of their First-Round series on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena, evening up the series, 1-1.

Vegas opened the scoring on a power-play deflection from Mark Stone with 8:18 left in the first, but MacKenzie Weegar tied it late in the period for Utah. Dylan Guenther gave Utah a 2–1 lead midway through the second before Ivan Barbashev responded just over a minute later to even it at 2–2. In the third, Logan Cooley scored with six minutes remaining to lift Utah to a 3–2, series-tying win.

VGK lost on its home ice to the Mammoth Tuesday night 3-2 as Utah ties the series at one game apiece and heads north on the I-15 for games 3 & 4. The winning goal was scored by Logan Cooley who put the puck past Carter Hart on a rebound late in the third period. It came off a shot by Dylan Guenther. VGK was outshot in the game 29-21 and outhit 39-33. Mark Stone and Ivan Barbashev scored VGK's goals. The Mammoth frustrated VGK and utilized its speed to keep the puck moving in the contest. Game 3 will be played Friday in SLC. VGK also did a good job of selling out and blocking shots in the game. And in the end, it was Utah's speed that probably won the game.

VGK wears down Mammoth, wins 4-2, series opener

VGK outhit Utah 52-30 in last night's opening round game and those hits wore down the Mammoth in the Golden Knights 4-2 victory. VGK had to rally from a goal down twice in the game. The Golden Knights scored three times in the final period for the win. Mark Stone had the equalizer to knot the game up at 2-2. Nic Dowd scored the game-winner on a deflection of a Noah Hanifin shot. The Mammoth couldn't clear the zone three times on that VGK possession. And, Ivan Barbashev scored an empty net insurance goal. We highlight the Golden Knights fourth line which had two goals, two assists, 11 hits and a plus seven. That line of Dowd, Cole Smith and Colton Sissons was the different-maker for VGK. And we talk about Barbashev's physical game.

Full Game Highs: Golden Knights Claim Game 1 Victory Over Mammoth, 4-2

The Vegas Golden Knights opened the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 4-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth in Game 1 of their first-round series on Sunday night at T-Mobile Arena. Vegas leads the series, 1-0.

Logan Cooley gave Utah a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but Colton Sissons tied the game at 3:44 of the second. Less than two minutes later, Kevin Stenlund restored Utah’s lead before Mark Stone evened the score, 2-2, with a power-play goal early in the third. Nic Dowd scored the game-winner at 7:20 of the final frame, and Ivan Barbashev added an empty-net goal to seal the victory. Carter Hart made 31 saves for a .939 save percentage in the win.

Sissons led the way with a goal and an assist, bringing his career playoff total to 27 points, while Dowd recorded the game-winning goal and now has five career postseason tallies. Stone’s tying goal marked his 37th playoff goal with Vegas, the most in franchise history, and Noah Hanifin contributed two assists. The Golden Knights outhit Utah 52-30 and improved to 12-7 in Game 1s of best-of-seven series. The win marked Vegas’ 63rd playoff victory, the most in the NHL since entering the league in 2017-18, while Reilly Smith and Brayden McNabb each appeared in their 100th playoff game with the club.

Full Game High: Golden Knights Capture Pacific Division Title with 4-1 Win Over Kraken

The Vegas Golden Knights (39-26-17) beat the Seattle Kraken (34-36-11), 4-1, in the final game of the regular season on Wednesday evening at T-Mobile Arena to clinch the top spot in the Pacific Division.

After a scoreless first period, Shane Wright opened the scoring early in the second, but Shea Theodore answered late in the frame to tie the game 1-1 with his 10th goal of the season. The Golden Knights took control in the third, as Mitch Marner tipped home his 24th goal just 1:23 into the period to give Vegas its first lead and push his season total to 80 points (24G, 56A), marking his fifth straight 80-point campaign.

Reilly Smith led the way offensively, scoring twice and adding an assist for his fifth multi-point game of the season. He extended the lead to 3-1 with a one-timer before capitalizing again on a net-front scramble, giving him three goals and four points over his last two games. Carter Hart was steady in net, stopping 22 of 23 shots for his sixth consecutive win since returning to the lineup, posting a .957 save percentage in the victory.

With the 4-1 win, the Golden Knights secured their fifth Pacific Division title in nine seasons — the most in the NHL since 2017-18 — while extending their strong finish under John Tortorella to 7-0-1. Vegas also continued its dominance at home, becoming the first NHL team to record at least 20 home wins in each of its first nine seasons, and led the league in third-period scoring for the second straight year. Jack Eichel added to the effort by extending his point streak to four games with eight points (2G, 6A) during that span.

Full Game Highs: Golden Knights Hit 400 Franchise Wins in Dominant 6-2 Rout of Jets

The Vegas Golden Knights (38-26-17) scored four goals in the third period en route to a 6-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets (35-33-12) on Monday evening at T-Mobile Arena.

After a scoreless opening frame, Mark Stone broke the deadlock with a shorthanded goal midway through the second period, his 10th career shorthand tally and part of a three-game goal streak in which he has four goals. Jack Eichel helped drive the play, setting up the rush and later finishing with a four-point night (1G, 3A) — his fourth of the season, the most by a Golden Knights player in a single campaign.

Reilly Smith doubled the lead late in the second, and Vegas erupted early in the third with four goals in the first eight minutes. Ivan Barbashev struck just 31 seconds into the period, while Rasmus Andersson (1G, 1A) added to his strong stretch with another multi-point effort. Pavel Dorofeyev pushed his career-high total to 37 goals on the year, including his 20th on the power play — second-most in the NHL — before Eichel capped the surge with a man-advantage goal.

Carter Hart turned aside 21 of 23 shots to earn his fifth straight win since returning from injury, backstopping Vegas to a 6-2 victory. The Golden Knights extended their point streak to a season-best nine games, earned the 400th win in franchise history, and improved to 6-0-1 under John Tortorella.

The Golden Knights will play for position in the final two games after clinching a playoff berth by winning in Colorado Saturday. Jack Eichel scored the winning goal in OT. The other VGK goals were by Mark Stone, on an incredible play where he knocked down the puck and back-handed it into the net from in deep. Carter Hart posted another win with 30 saves. He made several key saves in the game. The Winnipeg Jets will need a miracle to make it into the playoffs. They would have to win three straight and teams like the Kings would have to lose their final three games. Winnipeg beat VGK the last meeting 4-1. We also have locks, props and chance for the game.

The Vegas Golden Knights (37-26-17) clinched a berth in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 3–2 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche (52-16-11) at Ball Arena, extending their point streak to eight games.

Colorado opened the scoring on a power play, but Mark Stone answered with a power-play goal late in the first. Pavel Dorofeyev gave Vegas a 2–1 lead early in the second with his team-leading 36th goal of the season, before the Avalanche evened the score later in the period. After a scoreless third, Jack Eichel ended it 1:19 into overtime with an unassisted, end-to-end rush for his third overtime winner of the season.

Carter Hart stopped 30 of 32 shots for a .938 save percentage and improved to 4-0-0 since returning from injury. Stone’s goal pushed him to 70 points (27G, 43A) in 58 games, while Dorofeyev set a new career high with 36 goals. The playoff berth marks the eighth in nine seasons for Vegas, making them just the fourth team in NHL history to reach the postseason at least eight times in their first nine years.

Even though VGK has a new coach in Tortorella, they still cannot win in extra time. Last night they fell in a shootout and lost 4-3. They gave up an important point in the tight division race in doing so. Mark Stone scored twice and Brett Howden had the other VGK goal in the loss. VGK dropped its 17th game in extra time. Seattle's Berkely Cattin had the winning goal and he also was the beneficiary of an awkward bounce in regulation. Adin Hill was in net for VGK. The Kraken broke a six game losing streak with the win. Torts said following the game that the Golden Knights can not afford to look back at the loss. He wants the team to turn its focus to Saturday's game in Denver against the Presidents Trophy winner Avalanche. With its position wrapped up as the top team in the West, as well, the Avs could be resting players. We also have our WTF segment with your comments.

The Vegas Golden Knights (36-26-17) fell, 4-3, in a shootout to the Seattle Kraken (33-34-11) on Thursday evening at Climate Pledge Arena.

Mark Stone scored twice in the opening 20 minutes — including a power-play goal just 55 seconds into the second period — to give Vegas a 2-0 lead. Seattle responded late in the middle frame, as Jared McCann cut the deficit to one with a power-play tally.

Brett Howden restored a two-goal cushion early in the third, finishing off an odd-man rush, but the Kraken rallied with goals from Berkly Catton and Bobby McMann to tie the game at 3-3 and force overtime. After a scoreless extra frame, Catton netted the shootout winner in the fifth round to lift Seattle to a 4-3 victory.
