RT @mikemayerMMO: Brodie said that re-signing Zack Wheeler was "very much a realistic consideration." Later said, "the projections we have for Wheeler short and long-term, didn't match up with the market he was able to enjoy."
I have to believe that the writers who voted Ted Simmons into the HOF never saw Thurman Munson play. And I'm saying this as an avowed Yankees hater, but Munson was an absolute stud. Shame that lesser catchers are getting in before him.
We can argue all day about whether or not the Phillies overpaid Wheeler or the Nats, Strasburg. But one thing we can all agree on is that the Jacob deGrom contract was an absolute steal! Doesn't happen often, but sometimes the Mets do get it right! #LGM #LFGM 🍎
You know what, I really like Skywalker's comment. I cant wait for owners and a front office that is honest and transparent. We complain a lot about spending but honesty is just as important if not more. I'm tired of not trusting anything they say. I want to trust the Mets again.
Wait.... Is he talking about the Mets? Dude, you gotta be kidding me... If you think this team is equipped to handle the likes of the Braves, Phillies and Nats right now, you may want to consider a different line of work.
I'm glad Jeremy Hefner is back with the Mets. Injuries prevented what could've been a solid career. He knows how to pitch and will make a great coach. LGM
RT @keithhernandez: Congratulations to my former teammate, Ted Simmons for being elected into HOF yesterday. I had the good fortune early in my career of Ted hitting behind me. The switch hitting catcher was deadly to pitchers from both sides of the plate & a tremendous clutch hitter. Long overdue
