  • I won't. Six games in two days is *really* tiring, both for avid football fans and for their significant others who may not be quite as devoted football fans. I can't do the quadruple-headers with the London games either.
100% of the people complaining about the proposed new playoff format will absolutely love having two extra games to watch when Wild Card weekend takes place next year.

  • My guess is that with six teams playing the first weekend, the NFL schedules games at 1, 4:30, and 8 both days, rather than having a Monday night playoff game that messes with team rest. Then again, money does talk. Maybe they want a MNF playoff game for the MNF package.

  • I still hate this and still think it gives too much of an advantage to the team that finishes with the 1 seed. Six teams works very well as is.
NFL playoff structure is about to be changed. Under the current CBA proposal, seven teams from each conference will make the playoffs, with only bye per conference, sources tell ESPN. It would go into effect this upcoming season. More coming on https://t.co/rDZaVFhcDQ.

  • Can you imagine a team now trading a first-rounder for a quarterback who was already three years out of college and not immediately giving him the starting job?

  • Boy, the NFL has changed, part 97,453: Washington dealt a first-round pick for the rights to Joe Theismann in 1974 and then made him a punt returner. They didn't make him the full-time starting QB until 1978 when he was 29 years old.

  • This is interesting. Some of it has to do with time zones. To broadcast on the west coast you have to give up a lot of drive time for east coast games.
The A’s newest broadcast schedule will, for the first time, include no Bay Area radio station. @susanslusser explains: https://t.co/zGmugxEGWZ

  • For those who think Washington should just draft Tua and then decide who is better, him or Haskins, this has been tried before! It worked out well for one of the two quarterbacks involved. Not really for the other. https://t.co/fip6C82PfJ
