  • Assuming the #Steelers want to dress two QBs (seems like a wise idea), it'll be Mase-In-Your-Face and Devlin Hodges, at least for a week. From the PS, if Lynch is signed to the active roster, the team has to guarantee him three weeks of roster pay.

  • #Steelers placed Sean Davis on IR, and signed Paxton Lynch **to the practice squad (not the active roster) Trade for Fitzpatrick becomes a bit clearer.

  • #Steelers placed Sean Davis on IR, and signed Paxton Lynch. Trade for Fitzpatrick becomes a bit clearer. QB room has a veteran who will suit up on Sundays. Davis might have played his last game as a Steeler.

  • Hey its a copycat league...
#Jets star Safety Jamal Adams has unfollowed the Jets on Instagram and removed them from his bio. https://t.co/AokE169tMG

  • @DavidMTodd "5th or 6th best safety" who's played 18 NFL games and is 22 years old. It's a shame this cat thinks he's locked in at his current ability just like how Earl Thomas stopped improving when he hit age 23.

  • #Steelers hosting QB Paxton Lynch today. Hopefully, they're discussing Lynch's experience having played with some other QB, and the Steelers are just collecting info.

  • Wrong. Al told us repeatedly (and intentionally, considering the definition of a replay reversal) there was clear and obvious interference. Why would he lie? To protect his position?? Crazy talk, man...
Gene Steratore on DVE today on non-P.I. review, reversal: “That’s not a foul. There’s minor hand fighting. The majority of his turning back for this football is under his own volition. Is there a hand on his back? Heck, yeah. Is that the train wreck in New Orleans? No, it’s not.”

  • Pretty significant savings on cash and cap. And they'll spend 75 percent of market on the 11th and 10th picks of the last two drafts, respectively. Throw in later round picks, add a 3rd in comp and 5th for a third-string QB, #Steelers get two in the air.
They drafted Devin Bush #10 this yr. Universally praised. They paid Bush an $11M signing bonus & $18.8M guaranteed, ~$5M/yr. So by getting Fitzpatrick now & not in the draft last yr., they get him for 3 yrs for $5.8M, < $2M/yr for the #11 pick w no baggage & some NFL pedigree.

  • If the #Dolphins use the #Steelers pick on a QB, and not the top pick, which they seem laser-focused on receiving, let's bring this back and ask ourselves why he wasn't worth the top pick.
@seangentille @TheAthleticPGH We will make sure to bring this back when the 2020 pick is a franchise QB for the Dolphins

  • @TimBenzPGH @RyanBurr @ThePoniExpress You're downplaying just how bad of a situation it is in Miami. Plus, NFL players, especially on cheap contracts, haven't often bluntly asked to be traded like Fitzpatrick did very often. On top of that, he's a great schematic fit and God knows the Steelers need a guy like him.
