The odds were always stacked against Arizona State Sun Devils basketball in the 2023-24 season following a max exodus of key starters mainly to the NCAA Transfer Portal in the offseason. Bobby Hurley and the program mitigated the damage by bringing in several key players including Jose Perez and Adam Miller. Still, it hasn't been near enough in what has been a very frustrating season in Tempe. The Sun Devils have spiraled out of control and now find themselves in the basement of the PAC-12 Conference they once stood atop with seemingly zero chance of an opportunity to go dancing in March Madness.
