Episode 470: Too Sweet
Episode Description
Justin and Dan break down Auburn's hard-fought win over Creighton to punch its ticket to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019. The guys discuss how the Tigers spent the 48 hours after the Alabama State game calling each other out and how they showed from the opening tip that things would be different.
They talk about how Auburn’s defense weathered the storm in the first half and wore Creighton’s offense down in the second half. Dan gives props to Dylan Cardwell for arguably his biggest game in an Auburn uniform. Justin takes a closer look at how Tahaad Pettiford showed he — and the rest of the Tigers’ offense — was built for this moment from the beginning.
The guys also take some time toward the end of the show to discuss the hiring of Larry Vickers, Auburn’s new women’s basketball coach. They close with a discussion of Conan O’Brien, outro songs and Lexington eats.
