Additionally, goaltender Logan Thompson recorded his 30th win, reinforcing his role as the starting goaltender as the team heads toward the playoffs.
In NCAA hockey, Boston College's Ryan Leonard made headlines by winning the Hockey East Player of the Year title, becoming the first Eagle to do so since 2014 with an outstanding 37 points in 24 games. Leonard is on track for back-to-back 30-goal seasons, while Cole Hutson from Boston University earned the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Year title with a leading freshman scoring tally of 39 points. Both players were recognized in the All-Hockey East First Team. Meanwhile, Andrew Cristall, the 40th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, has emerged as a top offensive talent in the WHL with 39 goals and 95 points this season, showcasing great potential for the Capitals' future despite needing to refine some aspects of his play.
