On an impromptu episode of the FutureSox Podcast Ian Eskridge and James Fox discussed the Drew Thorpe news that occurred in his AAA start Thursday, in which he left early with elbow discomfort. They talk about possible depth ramifications and who will be next up.

They moved on to 2 positive stories which included Sean Burke being named Opening Day starter and Shane Smith being informed that he has indeed made the 26 man roster. Another topic covered was the announcement today that there is a possibility that Noah Schultz, Hagen Smith, and Grant Taylor could all be starting for the Birmingham Barons out of the gate this season.

The second half of the show is the Cleveland Guardians AL Central preview show featuring Justin Lada of Locked On Guardians. He ran Ian and James through their offseason, what their path to winning and losing the division would look like, and Bazzana, DeLauter, and the Guards farm.
