RJ Barrett has no fear of the allegedly ferocious New York media. I think @HowardBeck gave him a scouting report. “It’s just media. I’m fine with it. I’ve dealt with a lot of media and I know the New York media is different, for sure, but I’m smart. I’ll be fine. I’ll be good."
RT @KeithSmithNBA: The prevailing feeling from teams, players and agents that I've talked with this week is the same as fans and media: 11 days to go and it's already wild. On front office staffer said "It's all so up in the air and no one even has to sit around and wait on LeBron this time!"
my new theory rankings most to least likely: 1: Woj was literally just speculating as all humans do 2: Rival who wants Kyrie leaked to destabilize #Nets status as leader 3: Nets leaked to preemptively spin not getting Kyrie 4: Nets leaked to make DLO feel not betrayed
Trading 2nd pick to Pels makes sense for Memphis if it’s okay with Garland. Pels would choose Barrett, who said about going to NOLA: “That’s exciting. If I play with (Zion), I’m playing with my best friend there. If I play in New York, the Mecca, it feels like home to me.”
Is there some sort of rain dance we can do to create froth? What if we all buy bubble machines?
Hot take: I think #Cavs decision at 5 is really hard. There are a three good prospects to choose from and I feel there are strong arguments for — and against — all of them. I know I’m supposed to take a stand, but I’m just having a really hard time separating them.
Because they would need the cap space created by renouncing Redick and Scott to sign the Replacement Player. Would only be able to sign, in that scenario, via cap room, exceptions or minimum deals.
@TomMoorePhilly The renouncing Redick and Scott thing is confusing! Why can the Sixers re-sign Butler & Harris and then Redick & Scott, but not an Expensive Butler Replacement (which would still be presumably under the salary cap) and then Harris (putting us over) and then Redick and Scott?
