New Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett said on Thursday he believes he’s still a starting quarterback in the NFL and he’s here to compete to start. It had at least one of our Football Insider subscribers nervous Pickett would end up starting.

Mary Kay Cabot and Dan Labbe talked about Pickett and the plan with him on Thursday’s Hey, Mary Kay! edition of the Orange and Brown Talk podcast.

They talk about the Browns' plan for the makeup of the quarterback room and how Pickett fits into the plan.

They also get into the plan with the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft and if the Browns have to take a quarterback and what it would look like if they didn’t and if waiting until next year to solve quarterback is a better plan.
