At this past weekend’s Chop Fest, Alex Anthopoulos addressed the media about potential moves in the near future. He said a lot of things were in the works, especially in the outfield market where the Braves most noticeable need remains. Anthopoulos...

The Atlanta Braves made some subtle changes to their uniform set. The changes may not be major but for people who like to pay attention to detail, the changes are indeed major.

Hey guys, welcome to the 2019 Sally team preview series. I’m excited to get these going again. This is my 4th year doing the previews they’re a blast to do and I learn a ton from them. Unearthing a bunch of players buried in rookie ball is a...

The Dodgers have allegedly violated international free agency rules and could be facing a similar punishment that was handed to the Braves in Nov 2017.
RT @grantmcauley: Fred McGriff spent two decades as one of baseball's premier sluggers and another awaiting a call to Cooperstown that did not come. Ironically, falling off the writers' ballot should only improve the former #Braves star's Hall of Fame chances. https://t.co/PQwsr94D3eTV / Radio Personality
If they waited, maybe ... *MAYBE* the prices drops to around or a hair below 20. Then again, maybe they lose out on him and the only move we've made right now is McCann.TV / Radio Personality
Respectfully, I couldn't disagree with you more. Plenty of other teams would have given him that contract for one year. Absolutely, without a doubt. There's an above avg injury risk, but many teams will jump at a chance to add an MVP caliber bat without a long-term commitment.TV / Radio Personality
You're right that 3B didn't need upgrading. They didn't need a third baseman. But they needed another huge bat ... AND they definitely needed to upgrade the bench, and JD move accomplished both with Camargo moving to super utility role.@FriedBasballATL I’m am fine with adding JD but a few things that I don’t like. They overpaid, they “upgraded” a position that didn’t need upgrading as much as others. Yes JD is a big upgrade over Camargo but RF, C, RP, and TOR SP were much more pressing needs then 3rd was.TV / Radio Personality
What if Freddie misses 100 games ... or Acuña? Can happen to anyone. First time in JD's career he's ever missed majority of a season. I concede above avg injury risk, but fans (not directed at you) are overblowing it by acting like its been years since he's been a beast. Not so@FriedBasballATL But what is that MVP candidate only plays 50 games like he did last year? It’s a big risk that the FO is putting all its eggs in the one basket.TV / Radio Personality
I hear ya. But IMO, ascension to WS favorites as a process that can't be rushed. Teams that rush make stupid moves: trades & free agent contracts they deeply regret later. JD huge addition. Young hitters here should improve. Riley on doorstep. If that's all, I'm good with that.@FriedBasballATL Donaldson is fantastic. But fact is, we are one injury to him away from having not upgraded the offense. And its one that struggled big time down the stretch, and against LA. More needs to be done before we are talking WS contendersTV / Radio Personality
Well, thing is ... added an MVP caliber changes this lineup significantly. Again, as Chris noted here ... That's a HUGE addition. https://t.co/yXGw9dmYKO@FriedBasballATL But its sad we are talking line up construction for essentially the same team as last year. Very disappointing offseason so far, have to hope much bigger moves are on the horizonTV / Radio Personality
Yeah, I'm not a fan of Ender at leadoff. If he gets back to the .350 OBP he turned in in both '16 and '17, I can live with it. But not totally thrilled with it even then.@FriedBasballATL the main thing I dislike about Acuña hitting cleanup is ender will now get the most abs on the team. hopefully ozzie will kill it this year and he can lead offTV / Radio Personality
