I have watched thousands of at-bats where a kid punches out and comes back to the dugout knowing he missed a fat pitch. My telling him he should have hit it is the definition of terrible coaching. He knows.
@BfloBlog Agree 100%. The only thing I'll add on the, "he has to score there" point, is you know damn well that Eichel is on the bench going, "damn, I gotta put that away!" It's just human nature as an athlete. We expect a lot out of the best players, the player expects more, most likely
And while you're at it, Jack Eichel with OT goals at Calgary in Game 47 of consecutive seasons.
Well here’s the thing about the Eichel slump….do you think it doesn’t bother him? Do you think he doesn’t care? Do you think he is being lazy? If so, then you have a beef. If not, shut up. Note it. Fine. It’s the job. All players struggle at points, doesn’t mean they don’t care
Again, I was about to be hired as a Canisius High School baseball coach when their AD informed me that’s my divorce made it too controversial
LaFontaine finished that season with 93 points (46+47) in 57 GP. Robert ended up with 83 points (40+43) in 75 GP. #sabres
