My "the league is popular because one particularly high stakes game three years ago drew decent TV numbers" t-shirt is raising questions already answered by my shirt.
“Bringing in a Cincinnati and UCF doesn’t bring any eyeballs,” the (Big 12) AD said. Maybe the AD should check recent TV ratings. While nobody is arguing UCF/Cincinnati is Texas or OU, ratings are quite comparable to the rest of Big 12. 2018 UCF/UC game drew over 3M viewers. https://t.co/KYSDmfuo4f
Oh my. I literally get what Baylor must be feeling. Helpless
Baylor just won the NCAA Basketball championship and has one of the best Women's Basketball programs in the country. Where does it go? Neither the Big Ten or Pac-12 seem like a natural fit.
A&M sleeps with the fishes.
Prominent Big 12 source tells the American-Statesman the Texas-OU move to the SEC is almost done. "They've been working on this for a minimum of 6 months, and the A&M leadership was left out of discussions and wasn't told about it." Move could become official in a week.
For a decade UConn was realignments slam-dunk loser and we are two weeks away from a "Winners/Losers" column proclaiming UConn a winner because "bold leadership focused on the school's strengths and regional ties" and 20 new names in the losers column. I can't wait.
