Half Full: the Wolves are 7th. Been a very fun season. They should stand pat and let this thing simmer. Half-Empty: a series of major injuries has derailed ~5 teams the Wolves compete with. The West is going to be a bloodbath next year. Upgrade aggressively.
Significant injuries continue to pummel the Blazers: The left shoulder labral tear for forward Nassir Little is likely to sideline him for the rest of the season, sources tell ESPN.
rating and on/off stats aren’t for everybody, but one that matches the eye test in a bad way is the Wolves scoring significantly worse when Jaden’s on vs off. (112.0 off; 105.4 on). Can’t excuse it away, because he’s gotten lots of burn w/Ant, KAT, starters. Gotta hit shots.
Wolves are reportedly interested in Robert Covington. Could be tough to make a deal work, since POR wants to shed salary and get under the tax. Prince + 2-rd pick for RoCo + Snell could work, but hard to imagine Blazers don't end up with a better offer. https://t.co/UKIGzW5Gxu
Obviously it’s different, but this is why I don’t want Garnett anywhere near Timberwolves basketball operations, if they ever repair the void. I would honestly rather the rift stay than have him anywhere near being a basketball decision maker.
Knicks beat their 2020-21 over under by about a million games, and for that Thibs got two things: 1) another Coach of the Year award, and 2) raised expectations. A good NBA politician would get worse before getting better.
Dubs are -6.5pt favorites. We obviously beat them last week. Last season, when we were very bad, they beat “healthy” GSW once, and seem to sneak one per year. (We beat GS during their 73-9 year!). We also beat PHX last year, and Utah 3x. Point is: expecting 1 or 2 here is fair.
RT @Rubioops: I am not advocating for Ant to be an All-Star this year because I think there are too many good candidates. But I AM positive that he's more worthy of an All-Star spot than Andrew Wiggins. Ant is better than Wiggins in every category except "plays with Steph Curry."
RT @TheAthleticNBA: James Wiseman did not want to come to Minnesota and play behind Karl-Anthony Towns, sources told @JonKrawczynski. In interviews, LaMelo Ball left the impression that he wasn’t excited about being with the Wolves. Then there was Anthony Edwards. More: https://t.co/szyTXTDE2T https://t.co/1bQm5wlvI5
Doesn’t matter. Ant takes too many shots and had a rough start to his rookie season and likes football, so Haliburton is better and this doesn’t matter or even count.
The only person with more 40 point games as a 20 year old than Anthony Edwards: LeBron James
well, in a single presser Ant said he’s gunning for MVP next year, he’s 1st Team All-Defense, and he’s Black Jesus, so I don’t think the 7-seed Timberwolves have anyone better than that player/person.
Just a temperature check… Who is the best Timberwolf right now?
