Sad to have to see Sedona sit out a second year in a row, because the @NCAA doesnt want to do what’s in the best interest of student athletes. I’m hoping this is the start to positive change being made by those in charge, who quite frankly, can switch jobs with no repercussions. https://t.co/TbgXclQI51
An absurd decision by the NCAA. Sedona Prince should be playing, immediately. Athlete welfare? The NCAA doesn’t live up to its rhetoric. #FREESEDONA
"We are obviously very disappointed in the decision made by the NCAA. We felt that we submitted a strong case and believed Sedona was deserving of the opportunity to play immediately...If this case doesn't merit relief, I don't know what does." - KG https://t.co/dzAoulm1tX
The NCAA will never willingly allow NIL rights to players. Clearly, this will be an over regulated, bureaucratic joke. Whom else has endorsements regulated? Nobody. This is the NCAA taking simple and making it complicated. Total nonsense. https://t.co/OUE8foJXSR
“Incorporate the bowls?” Why? Any playoff should be played at home sites until the final. Why not have that money stay in local economies? It’s ridiculous for NCAA members to prop up “third party” bowls for a playoff. That’s the players’ money being given away.
A Power 5 AD in New York this week said a specific 8-team playoff model is circulating around the CFB world that would incorporate bowls, including a bowl-sponsored national championship game. The model: - 5 auto bids for P5 champs - 2 at-large - 1 Group of 5 https://t.co/tTo387Udah
