In a sea of bad news, hate for this to get lost: Keanon Lowe, the football coach & security guard who disarmed a distraught student at Parkrose High School last year, was awarded nation’s highest civilian honor, the Congressional Medal of Honor 👏👏👏 https://t.co/E3bzSHSEoH
RT @choo_ek: A few days ago, Oregon's peak was supposed to be on April 24th. Today, it's projected to be May 3rd... with estimates for hospital bed needs within our state's supply. This is what flattening the curve looks like, folks. Stay home. Save lives. (Source: https://t.co/xz7vl7D7t3) https://t.co/oYFIZ5U21n

Praying for Captain Tommy (and for so many others like him with ordinary illnesses in hospitals filled with COVID-19 patients).
My friend (and fellow runner) @jzenor with a good piece on running during a pandemic. Beyond fitness, running is a stress-reliever for me. These last couple of weeks, that benefit has been exponentially magnified. (Just don’t run in packs, y’all. Or else, spread waaaaaaay out.)
RT @swiesebaby24: I tested positive for COVID-19. I am feeling well- fortunate to only show mild symptoms, but I am capable of spreading it. All of us are united in our fight to stop this spread and keep everyone safe/healthy. I will do my part, and I hope you do too.
To the woman in the restaurant tonight when I picked up our dinner order—the one who approached and was suddenly within 3 feet (and still moving) because she wanted to tell me about a charity—please understand. This was nothing personal: “Would you please step back first?” 1/x
That’s right, starting at the 16th technical in the regular season. Mathematically, a player could pick up a maximum of 90 T’s in a regular season. As I said, even 41 won’t happen. Refs look the other way now.
Unique challenges for transplants — 'essential surgery' — amid the #COVID19 pandemic. (Plus, a positive nugget: a very small sample size of immunosuppressed/transplant recipients have done surprisingly well when infected. Again: Very small sample size. But still. Positive.)
Peter's hops were such that he dunked twice in this bloodbath of a contest
