We simulated the season 20,000 times. In 0 of those sims does Rutgers win its next 7...that's before they play OSU, MSU, PSU. And B10 champ game. UCF wins out 24% of the time. In *some* of those simulations, enough chaos happens elsewhere to get them in.
The NCAA’s agent policy was not well conceived or thoughtfully considered. As a result, it is not popular. Another misstep.
RT @KeithOlbermann: And everything I have in MY career started with an unpaid internship in the newsroom of a NYC TV station (which I could take while others couldn’t because I didn’t need to make money). One of the definitions of privilege is, thinking “the system works” because it worked FOR YOU. https://t.co/jhySqtMKsV
Great perspective. That Tim Tebow wishes to turn down compensation doesn’t mean all should be required to. He is free to play for free. All athletes should have the same economic rights as LITERALLY everyone else. That’s real choice.
Athlete pay is coming. The NCAA believes lawmakers should wait for it to change its rules at its glacial pace, but the NCAA has had over 100 years to figure it out. The federal government is about to do it for all 50 states. Yet again, the NCAA is reacting instead of leading.
“There are athletes driving incredible value for the institutions & frankly they should be fairly compensated & I’m not sure that is exactly the case today.” — Under Armour CEO & Maryland booster Kevin Plank, on @cnbc, on college athletes being able to make money off their name.
RT @CoachPikiell: All I can say is WOW!! So incredibly thankful for all of the amazing people who love @RutgersU & @RUAthletics & helped make this practice facility a reality. Last night was a special night that all of Rutgers Nation should be proud of. I know I sure am!! #gardenstatement #goRU https://t.co/cusoQjz1WZ
I'll admit it: Two decades of covering Rutgers left me convinced that the athletic department would cut corners on its new training center. But the remarkable building is proof of what can happen in Piscataway with vision and funding. Column: https://t.co/XooOz7B4JR
Today is the day! Today we open up the beautiful state-of-the-art @RWJBarnabas Health Athletic Performance Center. In advance of today’s ribbon cutting, the guys put together a quick tour of their new home in a segment called ‘Jammin’ With Joey’. 🛡⚔️ #GardenStatement
