The literal only thing wrong with this kid is he clearly grew so fast it made him really lanky. A college program will fix that in an offseason. He moves insanely well with the ball and can stroke it from deep. That Gonzaga game is going to be “fun”.
I honesty don’t get the point of reporting this now, obviously Tech fans were pissed, but there are a few funny nuggets in there. Additionally some top decision makers weighing in is interesting to read.
When Chris Beard left Texas Tech for Texas, one fan thought it might have been an April Fools' Day joke. Another called it the worst day in Texas Tech history. From anonymous fans to the top of the Texas Tech University System, stakeholders were upset: https://t.co/UvlqgDDiic https://t.co/mywIBx7VI4
That’s another on the board for Mark Adams and co, and a HUGE one at that! There’s always some questions about D2 guys, but in this case this dude should meet or exceed expectations. You can’t explain away his numbers by pointing to the lower competition, Jacobs can ball.
Back in the top five. If the starters pitch like they did this weekend the guys can roll. Monteverde in particular is an ACE in all caps. The three starters need to be lights out, but if Tech is actually a top five team that’s the expectation regardless.
Did see this fyi. While I can’t speak to validity, would I be surprised to learn Chris Beard is going to negative recruit Tech? Absolutely not. It’s part of the game in modern recruiting, coaching staffs bad mouth each other. Tune it out, and trust Adams to recruit through it.
Someone needs to stop Chris Beard from sabotaging Tech’s recruiting by badmouthing us and Mark to every player we target
This was easily the chippiest series of the season. There was a lot of juice in every game, and the far better team took the series despite injuries. Guys might get hit by another pitch trying to leave Morgantown.
There might just be something about these Sunday deciders, thanks in large part to Conley Tech is firmly in control. 10-1 now in the sixth. This has been a particularly chippy series, so good to see the guys going for the kill.
Checking in on the rubber match in Morgantown, a Mr. Conley hits a two run bomb in the fifth to extend the Red Raider lead! The announcers made my ears bleed so I’ve basically been tracking the statcast or listening to the radio as Tunein allows. 4-1 T5 1 out good guys
Shough didn’t put enough zip on this, but Adams and that killer shimmy made it easy
