RT @robertdsheridan: Watched Hamilton. No mention of Ti-Cats. Nothing about Stelco. Not one song about the escarpment. For a musical about the Canadian steeltown where my Dad grew up this one missed the mark for me. Zero stars.
RT @zbinney_NFLinj: @jtbourne Epidemiologist chiming in here. I've been struggling with these same issues. I hope this helps you think through what leagues should "expect" & what might be considered "normal" or "reasonable" vs. a sign things are going wrong and need to be shuttered. https://t.co/EMWCjmQFKo
RT @FriedgeHNIC: Any player whose contract ends this season and isn't participating because his team is out or he has opted out, can sign outside of North America 7 days after agreement begins. But, if a player who opted out signs somewhere else for 2020-21, can't play in the NHL next year.
Whatever happens with this season, know that the NHL is going back to the Olympics — assuming all of this gets ratified.
RT @friesensunmedia: NHL Players Association release tells us they have a tenative deal with the NHL on new CBA extension and return to play. Key dates: July 13 – Start of formal training camps; July 26 – Clubs travel to hub cities; August 1 – Start of Qualifying Round.
Lots of interesting reading here. For hockey fans, the best part of this entire tentative agreement which still has to be ratified isn’t the return-to-play this summer. It’s the CBA extension and long-term labour peace, along with 2022 and 2026 Olympics participation. #wfp
Usual time between Stanley Cup being won (mid June) and re-start of NHL season at the beginning of October is about 110 or so days.
If the Jets and Flames get underway on August 1st it will be 142 days after the last game Winnipeg played (in Edmonton) and 140 days since the Jets were scheduled to meet the Flames in Calgary on March 14th. Just a wee bit of time between games. #NHLJets
We'll discuss this and #NHLJets topics heading back on the ice with @WPGMurat at 5:30 on @TSN1290Radio
We have NHL dates: July 13 - start of formal training camp July 26 - clubs travel to hub cities August 1 - start of play-in rounds
