I have no inside info that this is the way the Gophers will go. It just makes a lot of sense to me.

I like the idea of an NBA coach as the Gophers hire. Think with how much turnover there is these days, coaches have to adapt on the fly and be great on X’s and O’s, not dogmatic to a specific system. NBA coaches are well versed in that.

I love Williams Arena. I think the building's magic. I'm also old. Gophers are behind the times there and w/$$ In Feb. 2024, Coyle received an extension that raised his salary $324K per year to $1.4M avg annual value. That's in the top third of the Big Ten. He has to deliver.
