Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland escaped a season-ending injury to his right knee, but he will need surgery that could keep him out four to six weeks, according to a source.

I think Wheat is very close to what Kneeland was coming out of college but went undrafted because people thought he was a tweener. He's faster than Kneeland and about the same size and all so put up better overall numbers in college. I think we found a hidden gem in this guy.

I really like Kneeland but I've been saying since the 2023 draft that people have slept on Tyrus Wheat. Wheat ran a 4.65 forty at 265 lbs and had 18.5 sacks/ 28 tackles for a loss/ 3 interceptions/ 6 passes defensed/ 5 fumble recoveries/ 3 forced fumbles in 34 college games.
