Seriously? If we’re debating whether that was a headshot or not, we’re missing the point! Xhekaj is a repeat offender; his hits scream 'scumbag.' How about the NHL actually enforces consequences lol. Player safety shouldn’t be up for debate

players are not protecting themselves nowadays as hits have declined dramatically...the Sheriff should have only been a 2 min minor for interference as it was a late hit.

He didn't hit him in the head at all...hit him hard in upper chest that startled him and knocked him back thus the head going back to instinctively protect himself but...the best way to protect yourself is by keeping your head up.

Sure, tell that to the guy who's just been headhunted! Yeah, players should be aware, but the league’s gotta do its part too. If the NHL can’t protect its stars, what’s the point? Xhekaj should be fearing the consequences, not acting like a goon!

Fyi it is a players responsibility to keep their head up and watch the ice at all angles...This is hockey, not figure skating!!!

The hit was not to the head at all...it was to the upper chest which is solid and a dying art..
