Manaea will be fine (praying hands)!

The depth has taken a hit for sure with Montas and Manaea going down. That being said Manaea is not expected to miss much time. If someone else gets hurt it does get worrisome quickly.

DD, if you are going to justify Stearns' moves by signing SPs Manaea and Sevy last year and Holmes this year, it is just not enough to compete with both Braves and Phillies SPs, no less the hated Dodgers (who have one of the best rosters on paper going into 2025, ever!).

DD, My issue with Stearns is that he believes that he can spin silk into gold when it comes to SP. He failed last year with his acquisition of Adrian House. Similarly, for 2025, he has signed a SP (Montas) with an injury history who otherwise can't find home plate until he throws a gopher ball.

I'm all in on Stearns. In his first year we just missed the WS. No one hits on every move. I feel very good going into this year.

If the Mets are lucky, maybe Montas will be shut down for the entire season. Big mistake by Stearns signing ex-Yankee pitching bust.
